Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines


Al Mustansiriyah Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AJPS) publishes papers on various aspects of pharmaceutical and bio-medical science. AJPS is a fully open access journal. Open access (OA) refers to free, unrestricted online access to journal articles. OA content is open to all, with no access fees. According to Budapest open access initiative.

  1. The manuscript should be typed, single-spaced on A4 (21cmx 29.7cm) with 2.5cm margins on all sides. Times New Roman font 12 pt should be used. The fonts used in the text as well as graphics should be restricted to Times New Roman, Headings.
  2. The manuscript should be submitted to AJPS (OJS) and divided into two separate MS Word Document file

First File: contain the following information:

  • Full name of author (s). 
  • Author affiliations.
  • Corresponding author(s): E-mail, Orcid ID.

Second File: contain the following information:

  • bstract typed separately in both languages (Arabic and English) not exceeding 150 words.
  • Materials and methods.
  • Discussion: the discussion can be included within results in certain articles.
  • Conclusion: the conclusion should be brief and summarizes the findings.
  • Acknowledgment
  • References: the list of references; should be arranged numerically according to their appearance in the text and they should be written according Vancouver as follows :

  1. Authors are required to send a signed Researcher’s Commitment Formula with the manuscript undertaking that, "manuscript has not been published so far/communicated to some other journals“.
  2. Article will be submitted to Turinitin plagiarism check before sending to reviewers. We do not process any plagiarised contents. If a manuscript has over 20% of plagiarism based on the result of Turinitin check, we will send back the manuscript to the author to be revised for the plagiarised contents.
  3. The manuscript is sent to experts in the field of study (at least two reviewers) via open journal system in order to gain their insight and suggestions.
  4. All manuscript accepted for publications must be approved by referees and revised by the editorial board. The editorial board reserves the right to ask for modifications of the text by the authors.
